Vectronix to Manufacture in the U.S.

Newington, NH- Vectronix Inc., the US subsidiary of Swiss-based Vectronix AG, has opened its first US manufacturing facility this June. Vectronix produces high quality state-of-the-art optronic equipment used by the US Armed Forces and other government agencies for night vision, target location and other military survey. These products include an array of binocular laser range finders, thermal imagers and other high precision devices. Vectronix will share the new 12,500 sq. ft. facility with another local defense manufacturer, Wilcox Industries. The new facility is expected to bring out 100 new jobs to the area.

“Vectronix is extremely pleased to open our first manufacturing facility in the United States”, said David Buckley, CEO. “This will allow us to be more responsive to our customer base in the US.”

To celebrate the grand opening of their new facility Vectronix will be hosting an open house on June 6, 2008 which will include facility tours, a flag raising ceremony and traditional New England clam bake.

Vectronix Inc. is the wholly-owned subsidiary of Vectronix AG of Heerbrugg, Switzerland and is incorporated in the United States. The company has had an American presence and served the United States Department of Defense for more than 23 years. Vectronix Inc.’s US corporate facility is located in Leesburg, VA with additional facilities in Orlando, FL. Vectronix Inc. was acquired by Sagem Defense and Securite in 2003.
